Heavy Thrusters

Did some CrossFit practice today and one of the things I worked on was sets of 3 heavy thrusters. Worked my way up to 155 lbs!

It always feels good when you lift a weight you really didn’t think you could do. It goes beyond just hitting PRs though and I feel like it clears the cobwebs of the stressors of life that build up and they all go away and it gives you the energy and confidence to tackle whatever the rest of the day throws at you.

Some fun things about this video (audio on!) is coach Will telling me to “Make it a great day” mid lift, and James making the buzzer “boop” sound letting me know I completed my lift :joy:.
